Day 1: Arrive Lima
Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival, you will be assisted at the airport and transferred to your selected hotel. Overnight in Lima

Day 2: Lima - Cuzco by flight
Cuzco - Sacred Valley drive
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your departure flight to Cuzco.
Suggested flight arriving Cuzco before noon. Welcome to Cuzco!
PRIVATE TOUR FROM THE AIRPORT: MARAS SALT MINES, MORAY TERRACES AND OLLANTAYTAMBO. Lunch included
Upon arrival, you are driven to the nearby is the town of Maras, you will enjoy a panoramic visit where the finest salt in the world is extracted. Next, you will travel to Moray and tour the enormous circular and semi-circular agricultural terraces built into the top of a hill overlooking the Urubamba Valley and used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. Last stop of the day is at Ollantaytambo; an Incan military, religious, and agricultural center located in the highest point on the mountain. From the perspective of the archaeological site, you will look down upon the town of the same name and see its incredibly narrow streets and canals that have not changed since the Incas constructed them. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel around noon so you can take advantage of the hotel facilities. We strongly recommend to use the indoor pool and relax during the afternoon. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to get acclimatized.

Day 3: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco by train
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from your hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station.
FULL DAY MACHU PICCHU TOUR WITH PRIVATE GUIDE – VISTADOME TRAIN SERVICE
A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos. Finally, you return to Aguas Calientes, board the train for the return journey and transfer to your hotel. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from the Ollantaytambo station to your Cuzco hotel. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 4: Cuzco

MORNING EXPLORING THE CITY AND NEARBY INCA SITES (Private service)
You will visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site b y UNESCO. Continue to Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. You will continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will explore Q’enqo archeological site, where important Inca ceremonies took place.  Finally, you will arrive to the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. We will close the tour with a visit to the San Blas neighborhood, famous for its artisans.                                                                                                                              

You will have your afternoon at leisure to explore around the surroundings

OPTIONAL: WALKING CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASSES (NOT INCLUDED)
Being in Peru, a producer of many of the fine cacao varieties in the world, learn all the steps to make chocolate, from harvest of the cacao in a plantation to the production of a chocolate bar. You will roast the cacao beans, peel them and grind them to produce a paste. This cacao paste was used to prepare the first known cacao drink, the traditional hot chocolate. You will be able to take your own chocolate home.

Day 5: Cuzco
Breakfast.
It is time to enjoy a day at leisure in Cuzco and explore to take the best photos around.

OPTIONAL: FULL DAY TO RAINBOW MOUNTAIN with Box Lunch (Private service) – NOT INCLUDED
At 530AM. You will be transferred from your hotel in Cusco at dawn towards South Valley, driving for 3 hours until reaching Cusipata and take the road to  town Phulawasipata (4,626 MASL /15,177 ft.). Arriving to this community  you will take a  break to prepair and the start  the trek skirting the route of a beautiful stream. In the ascent, you will start to enjoy beautiful landscapes and see flocks of Andean camelids as llamas and alpacas. The highest Mountain in the region, “Apu Ausangate”, will show its majesty and you will be amazed by the mystique of the place making you feel the all the magic and energy, also, you have the opportunity to interact with the community members to learn more about their daily life. After approximately 1 and a half hours, you will arrive to the main attraction of this experience: Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain (5,020 MASL / 16466 ft.) you will have enough time to explore the area, take photos and renew your energy that will help you start your way back (The time in the mountaintop will be 30 minutes). After the visit to the mountain of Colors we prepare to continue the trek, for the return. The walk back will take between 1 hour until reaching the Phulawasipata community from here you will be transferred back to Cusipata for the lunch in a local restaurant, after lunch continue to Cusco. (Sometime this switch for box lunch)
