2021 itinerary & prices

Day 1 Arrive Paro / Drive to Thimpu (LD)
Arrive Paro airport (7480-ft), a beautiful terraced valley, home to many of Bhutan’s oldest temples and its only airport. Begin your scenic drive towards Thimpu (8900-ft). Arrive and check in at Namgay Heritage hotel or similar. Later enjoy a drive through the city. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 Thimpu (BLD)
Tour of Thimpu includes Tashichhodzong, National Library, Handicraft center, Nunnery, Takin Zoo, Folk Heritage & textile museum. This evening enjoy a traditional Bhutanese dinner.  Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3 Thimpu – Punakha drive (BLD)
Drive to Punakha (4500- ft) across the Dochu La pass (10,000-ft). Arrive and check in at Zangdo Pelri Hotel. Later visit the Punakha Dzong. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 Punakha – Paro drive (BLD)
Today drive back to Paro. Arrive and check in at Olathang hotel or similar. Tour of Paro Dzong and Ta Dzong National museum. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 5 Paro (BLD)
Drive to view the Tiger's Nest monastery and visit the Drukgyel Dzong. Enjoy a visit to a Bhutanese farmhouse. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 6 Paro (BLD)
Excursion to Haa via Chelela pass (13,000-ft), with scenic views of Mount Chomolhari and Jichu Drakey. Visit the Lhakhang Karpo and Nagpo. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 7 Depart Paro (B)
Depart for your flight to onward destination.
